Keshav Dev Temple, Mathura

Keshav Dev Temple is a temple dedicated to Hindu god Lord Krishna. This temple is situated beside the main Krishnabhoomi complex in Mathura, India. Keshav Dev (Lord Krishna) is the main deity of this temple which was Installed by Bajranabh. Bajranabh was the great-grandson of Lord Krishna.

This temple celebrates its own festival like "Lathamar Holi", "Chhappan Bhog", and “Krishna Janmashtami" among other festivals with full enthusiasm which are the main attraction and provides exclusive hue to this temple. Deepotsav, (celebration of lights), is prearranged in the temple on day before Diwali, which is also well-known as Narak Chaudas. Lord Keshav Dev’s Ride (sawari) is held from Gatashram Ghat to Keshav Dev temple on Rang Bharani Ekadashi , according to Hindu calendar.

Lord Keshav Dev has 24 incarnations (Avatars) which are open for devotees once in a year on the day of Akshaya Teej according to Hindu calendar. While rest of the year Chaturbhuji Avatar of Lord is seen for devotees’ offering prayers.
