These beautiful images of Lord Krishna and Radha are from Shri Radha Gopinath temple of Mumbai, India. This temple is one of the ISKCON temples and was installed on July 18, 1988. This was an accomplishment of the prophecy made by Srila Prabhupada in 1971.
The deities installed in the temple from left are Sri Nitai Gaurachandra, Sri Radha Gopinath and Shri Gopalji. Beside Sri Radha Gopinath are Shri Lalita Devi and Shri Visakha Devi. Gopalji and Gaura Nitai were formally installed in 1990. An idol of Srila Prabhupada was also installed as per ISKCON standards.
The temple has undergone numerous stages of renovation. Once a need was felt for the temple building and decided to re-design the temple based on the 17 temples in Vrindavan. One of the best designers from Italy, H.G. Matsyavatar Prabhu was invited to design the ceiling of the temple. After this from setting a wholly new foundation underneath the existing structure, to strengthening the wooden flooring of the temple hall with iron beams, to beautifying the exterior of the temple with complicatedly carved sandstone columns, many things got changed. The beautiful construction that we see standing today has developed through the hard work and dedication of several devotees .Now this temple is also one of the rare ones to have an air-conditioned hall in India.
